Team Pushworth Volunteers
Since 2009, volunteers have been an integral part of the Caxton Street Seafood & Wine Festival. We can say with certainty that the Festival success was due in part to the incredible efforts of the volunteers. Since then The Pushworth Group has been keenly watching the development of emerging Industry professionals and have watched many forge careers into the professional scene as a result.
Event Managers spend November in New York each year and volunteers at various events including the legendary Halloween parade. Working with our connections to the Arts and Entertainment world in New York – Broadway Producers, Live Music Venues, Museums Curators and Off Broadway Theatres, Art Galleries and Ballet Companies, our Australian festival is leading the way with its Volunteer program.
‘I thoroughly enjoyed the dramatic change of environment that festival work provides. I’m so used to knowing and understanding my professional territory and the frenetic pace of festival operations re-energised my ability to think on my feet. You get so used to the day to day comfort of a regular desk, fresh coffee and countless emails… being thrown into the throng of jubilant festival goers & rock bands was a breath of fresh air but at the same time it reminded me of how organized chaos can bring out the best (and long forgotten) elements of your capabilities. I can’t wait for the next festival experience!’ Damien Lumby, International IT Knowledge Management Trainer and Speaker, Sydney NSW
