Caxton St Development AssociationThe Caxton Street Development Association is a long term commitment made by the Restaurateurs, Traders and Hoteliers in Caxton Street, Petrie Terrace. By establishing its annual Seafood and Wine Festival, the Association invests in the value of the cultural and historical Petrie Terrace precinct by providing three stages of live entertainment on the street and promoting the health of Queensland Seafood at the various restaurants and food stalls along this famous Brisbane Street. The Caxton Street Development Association supports the responsible service and consumption of alcohol and continues to build Social Value as part of a long term commitment to a strong street culture by continuing its long term support of the Courier Mail Children’s Charity which has raised close $130,000.00 for this worthy cause in the past four years. Each year, the Caxton Street Development Association makes a substantial financial contribution to the Courier Mail Children’s Fund. In 2010, the 15000 festival goers not only celebrated their day on the street but they enabled the disadvantaged children of Queensland to continue to receive all throughout the year.
